Leaving Bense you will rejoin the main road and head towards Calibishie. An old Methodist Church set by itself in the bush marks the beginning of an area called the Hampstead Estate. The church is abandoned now but years ago it was used as the school for all the children for miles around and on Sundays the parents came to worship. A bit further on and you come to a dirt track leading to Bati'boux Beach, the most beautiful beach in Dominica. It is very isolated and the currents can be treacherous so it is advisable to have a local guide with you to prevent problems.
