Moving just a little further up the hill is an area called Point Dubique. Below Dubique is Hodges Beach, where the Hodges river flows into the sea. The island offshore allows for good swimming and snorkeling and the river provides a refreshing dip afterwards. Hodges is a quiet beach but you often find fishermen throwing their nets into the water or people doing their laundry by the river.
